HELP US FILL THE DEMAND for trained chemical dependency counselors.
The Institute for Chemical Dependency Studies is always looking for training coordinators and instructors who are passionate about the field of chemical dependency and who share our philosophy: the skills needed to treat addiction are rarely taught in the academic world, and there is no movement on state or local college levels to develop a specific addiction treatment tract within the Psychology or Counseling programs. So while many students study in accredited institutions, they may only get three to nine hours of focused study on the disease of addiction. Since addiction-induced illnesses are the 3rd leading causes of death in the United States, trained, licensed and practicing addiction professionals are in great demand. ICDS seeks to fill that demand with professionals who can effectively address the needs of those struggling with the disease of addiction.
Applicant Requirements
- Must be a Licensed or Certified Chemical Dependency Counselor;
- Must demonstrate a minimum of 5 years work experience;
- Must hold at minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, or Criminal Justice.
