The Certified Prevention Specialist, IC&RC, must have 100 contact hours of prevention specific training. Fifty hours of the training must be Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) training. Six clock hours of training in prevention-specific ethics also is required. There must be 120 hours of practicum in the five (5) performance domains (minimum of 10 hours in each).
